A letter from King County's Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports Division:

The King County Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports Division would like to invite you to its 31st Annual Legislative Forum on Monday, November 23, 2020, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. State legislators representing King County as well as our congressional members have been invited, as have hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) or delays, their families, providers, and community partners.

Your presence is so important!

The evening centers on sharing experiences so legislators understand the supports needed in King County to help all people live full, integrated and productive lives. Attendees will learn about King County’s 2021 priorities and the impact of state investments on people’s lives.

This is an excellent opportunity for community members to hear from their elected leaders, and for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or delays and their families to share their stories.

Agenda

In recognition of the limitations imposed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s forum will be presented in a virtual format.

  • 6:30 pm - Gathering and Technical Assistance Support
  • 7:00 pm - Remarks by King County Executive Dow Constantine
  • 7:05 pm - Introductions of elected officials in attendance
  • 7:20 pm - Presentation of King County’s proposed developmental disabilities legislative priorities for 2021, along with personal stories from individuals with I/DD or delays and their families
  • 8:00 pm - Perspectives and priorities of elected officials in attendance

What you can do right now

Assistance

If you need interpretation services, please call 206-263-1706 as early as possible, but no later than November 13, 2020.

We look forward to your participation!

Warmly,

Magan Cromar
Division Director
