1. HOUSING: How would you make affordable housing available to people with developmental disabilities?
Make funds available
2. SHELTER: How would you ensure people with developmental disabilities have a safe place to sleep and stay?
Get them one-on-one support from Medical help to job training and placement. You can’t help someone that does not want help I know this first hand...you can’t make them stay on their meds... If you can get them stabilized with follow up that would help. We need more behavioral health facilities
3. SUPPORTIVE HOUSING: How would you ensure people with developmental disabilities are receiving case management and the support needed to escape homelessness?
Make the Government do their job... talk with families they can help the most
4. SAFETY: How would you ensure the safety of people with developmental disabilities in police interactions?
I think they do the best they can with what they have. Their job is to enforce the law
5. SAFETY & JUSTICE: Would you support cross-training among professionals in the courtroom, police departments, victim assistance agencies and schools to prepare the justice community for situations involving people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities so they can receive equal justice?
Just put the money to help them into place and stop all the cross training people are compassionate and intelligent in those field
6. ACCESS & ACCOMMODATIONS: How would you ensure access to straws in public areas?
Banning straws Is the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time
7. JOBS: What would you do to increase job prospects for people with developmental disabilities?
They can’t keep a job if they are off their meds. This is where you can help the most medical treatment and follow up work with the families; we are the ones that have our hands tied. I could not get my daughter help even though she had insurance. Put your money into behavioral health clinics and stop using the funds for things that don’t work. Would have helped if governor would have done his job we lost millions Federal $.
8. SAFETY: How will you ensure your city's streets, sidewalks and intersections are safe and accessible to everyone?
Do your jobs; you have been misusing funds
9. TRANSIT: Do you think Lyft, Uber and other ride-share companies should be required to include wheelchair accessible vehicles in their fleets?
Are you kidding? These people make minimum wage; stupid idea unless you want to fund it they will all stop driving
10. TRANSIT: What will you do to expand transit service and improve reliability?
Stop misusing funds for stupid projects. Get more buses instead.
